Hardcover, bound in contemporary paper-covered boards with handsome floral pattern, partly in relief; spine worn, boards partly detached. A very good copy (some brown spots, occasionally a finger soil). ¶ ~ Translated by Francisco Albergati Capacelli from the English 'Dialogues Upon the Usefulness of Ancient Medals'. Addison's three dialogues first appeared in Italian in 1760 (Bologna: Dalla Volpe) under a slightly different title. Scarce. KVK locates just a single copy of this edition (Union Catalog Italy). Not in Lipsius. Cf. Lowndes I, p.11, listing the first English edition of 1726.
