['C.Weigel fe 1676.', depicting an eagle w. wings spread out, encompassing a small double hemisphere worldmap.]. Contemporary full overlapping vellum. (XXIV (incl. engr. title), 196, XLIV (INdex) pp.; XXII, 70, XXVI pp.). (A few quires some light even browning.; signature in ink on upper free endp. dated 1760). Christophorus Cellarius [Keller, 1638 - 1707, Geographer, Professor at Halle. see Tooley, p. 109: Shirley, The Mapping of the World, comp. item 552 (ed Jena 1692).: 'This small treatise on geography by the classical historian Cellarius has no maps in the text, but the title page shows two hemispheres within the embrace of an eagle.
